Everest Poker Avalanche Returns for 2008
Online Tournaments, 2008-01-04, by Ozone
One of the biggest online poker tournaments is back for 2008. Everest Poker is holding their "Avalanche" tournament on May 10th. It has a buy-in of $3,000+$150.
Like last year, Everest Poker guarantees the prize pool will be at least $1,000,000. The tournament will be frozen when play reaches the final ten participants. Those lucky players and a guest will be flown to an undisclosed location to finish the tournament in person.
This year's payout structure has been flattened. The top 100 finishers will win money, which could be as much as one-third of the participants.
Satellites into the "Avalanche" finale are three-tiered. Small stakes players can participate in $3 and $11 buy-in qualifiers effective immediately at Everest Poker.
